Salisbury, M L - portrait of Henry Salisbury

This miniature portrait appears to be signed "M L Salisbury 1823", but this artist seems to be unrecorded.

There is a long inscription on the reverse which reads "Henry Sandys Salisbury Born 15th Nov 1803 Third child of Samuel Salisbury and Hannah Priestly, daughter of Joseph Priestly of White Windows Halifax. Married Mary Galley (?) Day, eldest daughter of J G D Jackson of Bletchton House, Sandback (?) on the 2nd Feb 1841. Lived at Kempsey near Worcestor. Died 30th April 1877 and buried at Sandback (?)".

The marriage of Samuel Salisbury and Harriet Priestly is recorded on 20th Jan 1798 at Halifax. Henry Sand(y)s Salisbury is recorded as being christened 19 Mar 1805 at Saint John Deansgate Manchester.
